FreeRTOS Library

Overview

The FreeRTOS Library available in Microchip's MPLABX Code Configurator (Melody) allows for quick and easy C code generation of generic FreeRTOS application according to the user's requirements. The library module uses a Graphic User Interface (GUI) presented by MCC within MPLABX which allows for selection of desired configuration. Based upon device supported within MCC, customized C code is generated within the MPLABX project, in the folder named "MCC Generated Files".

* If you are using a development kit, this will typically be the UART connected to the Serial / CDC port

* Selectable GPIO for easy FreeRTOS integration/debug
* Configure the project and include FreeRTOS files for easy development

Generated Files

This driver generates the following files:
* ./mcc_generated_files/FreeRTOSConfig.h => FreeRTOS configuration header.
* ./mcc_generated_files/freertos/kernel => FreeRTOS Kernel files
* ./mcc_generated_files/freertos/freertos_interface.c => A source file conatining the FreeRTOS main application
* ./mcc_generated_files/freertos/freertos_interface.h => A header file containing the API function definitions
* ./mcc_generated_files/freertos/support_files => This folder contains support files for various demos
