JavaScript implementation of the SuperPack extensible schemaless binary encoding format
npm install superpackSuperPack (JS)
==============
This module provides a transcoder for the SuperPack binary encoding format.
``sh`
npm install superpack
`js`
import {encode, decode} from "superpack";
let payload = encode(/ your SuperPack-serialisable value /);
let reconstructedValue = decode(payload);
encode and decode take a second argument which is an options bag. It allows specifying extensions as follows:
`js``
encode(data, {
extensions: {
[extensionPoint]: {
detector: value => false,
serialiser: value => serialize(value),
deserialiser: serializedValue => deserialise(serializedValue),
}
}
});
where extensionPoint is a number. The decoder must have the same extensions at the same extension points.
This implementation includes a built-in extension which allows bounding the depth of object / array nesting. Once reached, a sentinel value is emitted instead. It is used as
`js`
import {encode, decode, depthBoundExtension, depthBoundReached} from "superpack";
let encoded = encode({ data: [0, { x: 'a' }] }, {
depthBound: 2,
extensions: {
[0xDEADBEEF]: depthBoundExtension
}
});
let decoded = decode(encoded, {
extensions: {
[0xDEADBEEF]: depthBoundExtension
}
});
console.log(decoded); // { data: [ 0, {} ] }
assert(decoded.data[1] === depthBoundReached);
